Once the beer lover becomes adept at the home brewing process, chances are he will want to branch out and try brewing other concoctions. Most liqueurs and ales can be brewed at home. Using different flavours to enhance brewing will give the brewer endless possibilities.

One favourite home brew is cr ט me de cassis. Crème de cassis is a black currant liqueur that is used extensively in cooking, and as a dessert or after dinner drink. The brewing process for crème de cassis uses fruit, like black currants, and the same process can be used for other dessert liqueurs using different fruits.

To make your own crème de cassis you can use any basic fruit liqueur recipe, and use black currants for the fruit. The recipe should use at least 400 grams of black currants and seven hundred millilitres of high-quality vodka. The stronger the vodka used, the stronger your homemade liqueur will be. After mixing the fruit and vodka, it will need to rest for at least one month for the flavours to meld. After the month you will need to add two hundred grams of refined sugar. Stir well and put the mixture into a glass container with a stopper. If you need somewhere to store recipes such as this, a branded usb is a great portable, hardy storage device.

After being put in the glass container with a stopper, the cr ט me de cassis will need to sit for one more month before it is ready to be enjoyed. Any basic recipe found on the Internet will go through the liqueur making process step by step. The above description is just a quick glance at the process.
